"We wanted to thank you for making your cabin available for rent.
Our family enjoyed it tremendously! We just had a wonderful time
at a wonderful location. It was such a change to be near the lake,
instead of in the Moonridge area. We did leave a message in your
guest book. We were visited by a Raccoon Family late one night,
which was very entertaining to watch. We also fed the ducks and
tried fishing off your dock. When we were unsuccessful at fishing
we took our 3 year old son to the Trout Farm off of Catalina (by
K-Mart), where he successfully caught 2 fish. He really got a kick
out of it. We were going to rent wave runners and do other water
activities, but we ended up relaxing instead, which was just as
fun. The Jacuzzi was wonderful in the evening. You have done a very
nice job of fixing up the cabin, we are thinking about coming back
in winter, so our son can experience snow. Next time, I believe
we are going to bring a boat with us, we are just debating on whether
it should be a ski boat or a sail boat. :) I hope that you are satisfied
with the way we left the cabin. We look forward to renting it from

"We really enjoyed staying at your cabin. I've spent a lot of time
at Big Bear and even know the Stopp family down the street from
you (with the red "Stopp" sign in front. But we've never stayed
in such a quiet and beautiful setting. The kids lived in the water
every day. Let me know / email me about fall/winter we may be able

"Thanks so much for your kindness and generosity! We had a fantastic
time!! It is sooo incredibly beautiful in Big Bear. I spent 99%
of my time in the hot tub on the deck, looking at the lake! The
cabin was great and very homey and we enjoyed ourselves. We plan
on at least once a year. I had no idea that Big Bear was so close
to San Diego. Anyway, I will be recommending your cabin to all who
will listen. Hopefully we will make it up there this winter, for

"Thanks for returning the deposit. We had a great time. The cabin
is in such a nice location. Our little boat was fun and easy to
launch at the beach area in front of your house. It is a very special
place. We also thought your furnishings were very hospitable and
made the stay even more special. The bbq and Jacuzzi are great!
We never even went to the village; we just had a nice time enjoying
the cabin and the view. We hope to return soon and I will contact
you waaaaaaaaaay in advance since we realize that it books up very
fast. My relatives from the Netherlands were so impressed by the
cabin and the lake view...just perfect. Thanks again for your help."

"I would just like to say thank you and the cabin accommodations
were everything you said it would be and more. My wife had a blast
but the other couple was not able to make it, so we took our kids
with us instead. We tried our luck with fishing but they were not

"Let me begin by saying we had the best time. Rented the cabin
for 8 weeks and used it as much as possible. 'Quiet Bay' is just
that, "quiet". With the view at 7pm it's about the best place on
the planet to be. We are big water skiers and loved being a few
steps away from a great run. Great place to have some wine, watch
the boats and reconnect with people you love. The barbeques on the
deck could rival dinners at Santa Monica's finest restaurants. We
love the history of this house and we can only imagine the fun had
by those who came before us and by those who will follow. If there
is any criticism, it is that summers are built to run by too fast
and ours was certainly no exception. There's a saying that if you're
lucky enough to live near the water, you're lucky enough. Thank
you for letting us enjoy your home." —

"9/4 - Went to the village, drove around the lake and went
fishin' in the dark (sounds like a song). It's so peaceful and romantic!
Great day… 9/5 - Rented a boat at Pine Knott Landing, cruised around
the lake and fished. We're going into town tonight to shop and have
dinner. We've BBQ'd burgers on the deck and loved that too! We're
leaving tomorrow morning and are bummed about it. The Gallagher's
were right, 7pm is gorgeous here. It's been our goal to hike, but
we keep wanting to come back here to relax and enjoy the view."

"The cabin was just what the doctor ordered. Its so beautiful
and quiet here. We enjoyed the fishing and swimming and ventured
into town twice - but the best time was just sitting on the deck
star gazing. I turned the cell phone off and my computer never left

"G'day Gary Mate we had a fantastic weekend. You have a
lovely cabin with a magic lake view and we are already talking of
returning. Never got as far as trying the local restaurants, so
thats a good reason to return. We had a little cabin cook up instead
and washed it down with a fine Aussie red wine in front of the fire
place. Woke on Sunday surrounded by snow, what a pretty spot. Went
on a 5 mile hike then returned for a BBQ lunch and spent the afternoon
playing cards. Just didn't want to leave, so it won't be hard to
entice us to return especially with your spa plans. Thanks again
