SUMMER
WATER SPORTS – Just walk out your door and there’s Big Bear Lake! Boating, water skiing, swimming, jet skiing, sailing, parasailing, windsurfing, and great fishing. Run out the door and jump into the lake whenever you get the urge! Be careful, your kids may turn into fish they’ll be swimming so much. Make sure you bring your fishing poles, the fishing is great right off the property.
MOUNTAIN BIKING, HIKING, HORSEBACK RIDING, and OFF ROADING – Big Bear Lake has become a mecca for mountain bikers. An outstanding network of trails start within a half mile of your cabin! Two famous trails – Lodge pole and Castle Rock are part of this network of trails. Snow Summit offers a lift that will take mountain bikers up to the top of this network of trails and if you take the right trails you can wind up right back near the cabin.
GOLFING – In the Summertime, Bear Mountain Ski Resort becomes Bear Mountain Golf Resort with a beautiful 18 hole golf course with beautiful fairways, greens and views. www.bearmtn.com
YEARROUND FUN
BIG BEAR VILLAGE is 1.9 miles away and takes only about 3 minutes to get there. Many boutique stores, great restaurants, two movie theatres, candy stores and bowling are located in the Village.
NATURE WATCHING – Bring your binoculars and watch bald eagles swoop down onto the lake to catch a fish in the winter or watch beavers swimming by the property in the summer. Woodpeckers, squirrels, blue jays, raccoons as well as many other beautiful and fascinating animals and plant life can be seen regularly.
